Scrabble Scrambled!

i remember...

my lil' brother wanted the game scrabble and my parents went to the shopping centre to get it for him because they can't find it at most places. heeee....my family doesn't visit shopping centres much unless we're abroad. we just don't. they bought it despite the fact that it costs moer than $50. in the 1980s, buying a game for that amount of money is a luxury. this is especially so when my dad was a mere machine operator while my mum is a phone operator. but i guess we'd it lucky than most children. they're willing to spend on us.

i remembered that there was once my bro and i tried to maximise the tiles on the board. there was another time when my relatives refused to believe that there is such a word as ion.

today...
i played an online version of scrabble on fb...heheheh....honestly becos rc was done! anyway, today games can be free...well, almost. i mean u do have to pay for the cost of monthly broadband and electricity bills ("p) and u compete with frens online! where's my brother's scrabble today? well, it's somewhere in my brother's cupboard.

and...well, there's going to be a shopping centre with the word ion soon enough.

Ms. Einstein

i remember...

i was on the double decker bus and i was standing on the lower deck with my mum. (i am not sure if my brother and my dad were on the bus too. they are nowhere in my recollection). the bus just drove past the then-bukit batok primary school. my school. i asked my mum where we were going. she told me to keep quiet, i would know when we reached the destination and asked me to stop asking so many questions. i decide now that i must have been a brave or insane child. i'd retorted back with a reply that einstein wouldn't be clever if he didn't ask so many questions.

today...

i decided to use the story in my doctoral application late last year. i had seven to eight rejections from the states. i suppose they couldn't fathom the credibility of my story. nonethless, ox sent me a letter of offer. and honestly, it's the only uni that i wanted to apply to when it first started... well, everything's on hold now... i wish the scholarship would pull through.
